My Beautiful Gift

Here are three photos of Steve's "Loving Hands" marble sculpture which he presented to me for our 42nd anniversary. He worked hundreds of hours on them. The marble is from Istanbul, purchased from his sculpting teacher Baris Karyazagan several years ago. Please see earlier posts for more about this sculpture. What a gift! These photos don't do them justice. They are breathtaking. The larger hand is, of course, a somewhat expanded model of Steve's hands, and the smaller one is an exact replica of mine. Really amazing!

Awesome, V! Tell Steve I said, "Hi," and Jacob can't wait to visit again :)

I was so hoping I could one day see a picture of this. When you told me about it in California my heart just melted.

That is so thoughtful.

What a priceless treasure for generations to come.

Blessings! Lysa

That is a lovely sculpture and a fabulous gift. What a wonderful husband you have. Barb (Mrs. Miles) pointed me over here and your book and message sound interesting.
Peace.

:) I just read about the time and care your husband took in making this gorgeous sculpture and how you likened it to God spending that much love and effort on us....it struck me how much patience your husband must have had working with this beautiful creation and how he worried about marring it...i have to wonder how much more God worries when He is etching us, scraping away the old and creating something new in us, at least marble holds still for the most part whereas we often seem to try our best to squirm when God begins working on us lol...anyway, I am so happy Barb posted about your blog! She is such an amazing woman...i have bookmarked your blog and will be back often! (sorry for the novel! didnt mean to ramble on!)

I found your blog via Mrs. Miles site. I read about your book and think I am definitely in need of finding "the well". I just lost my job, my step-dad passed away, I am a single mom, and the stress keeps piling up. I know that the Lord has a lesson and/or a reason for all of this. It's just not so clear to me at this time.

I am fortunate to have come across the post that brought me to your blog.

Warm wishes,
Candice
